Buena Vista Zine

Digital & Print Design
______________________________________________

Buena Vista Zine was inspired by a three-day trip to Santiago, Dominican Republic, where I spent time visiting my grandparents. During my stay, I documented each day through journaling and created a dedicated account @ch_inola to capture real-time images—serving as a digital scrapbook of the experience. The zine reflects the simplicity of the trip and the unexpected sense of peace it brought me.

______________________________________________

(our) pre, intra + post is a series of audio interviews that are paired with visual models. The models act as the participants and the treatment being done to the candles relates to their traumatic experiences.

The participants were given a space to reflect on their personal trauma and tell how they relate to collective emotions. This project was made to highlight the importance of trauma and how it affects our every being. The interviews cover sensory experiences, forms of introspection + coping mechanisms.

* Materials used: printed on 100 card stock , 75 text paper and tracing paper with a threaded saddle stitch bind.

Digital Design, Print Design, Spatial Design,
Web Design & Video Editing

______________________________________________

(dis)comfort explores the emotional disconnect and common misconceptions surrounding life in suburban neighborhoods. Through a video format, the project highlights the underlying issues within these communities and the factors that hinder genuine connection—despite the setting being seemingly ideal for it.

The website offers a deep dive into the topic, guiding users through detailed research and insights. As a proposed solution, I developed a communal art installation designed to engage and involve local residents directly. To brand and promote the event, I created a suite of assets including a poster, invitation, way-finding materials, and video advertisements.

* Featured work includes: Website wireframe, edited video, way-finding and installation sketches, final installation model, & promotional invitation.

* Material used: Tyvek paper to withhold weather conditions, Fishing Hooks that swivel and move with the wind to attract the eye of the viewer and Bright Yarn to connect each note.
